New Delhi: After Corona and availability of content coming on OTT platform, the number of people going to cinemas to watch films has decreased. Now instead of going to theaters for small films, people wait for them to come on OTT. Cinema owners struggling with this problem have now found a new solution.
Multiplex cinema chain PVR INOX has started the subscription plan from today. Under this plan, viewers will now be able to watch 10 films in a month. The price of this subscription is Rs 699. PVR INOX Passport must be subscribed for a minimum of 3 months. Through this claim, this multiplex chain is attracting the audience to come to the theatres.
Many upcoming films can benefit from this scheme of PVR. PVR Cinema has shared the information about its offer to the people by sharing a post on social media. Sharing this, he wrote, ‘We believe that cinema lovers in India should have the freedom to watch every film. Yes, it is easy to say, but we have done it. Only for you, because your choice, your freedom and your ideas matter to us.

Please note that this offer of PVR INOX Passport will be valid only from Monday to Thursday. That means this offer will work only on weekdays and you will have to pay separately to watch movies on weekends. With this subscription plan, an attempt is made to get people to leave their homes and come to theaters for films. However, currently PVR has launched only 20,000 passes. Gautam Dutta, Co-CEO of PVR Inox, said that he had received feedback from customers that they want to watch all the films, but are not able to. Because of this they have to watch films carefully. Because it proves to be very expensive for the audience to come to the theater every week.’ Keeping this in mind, this subscription has been launched.

He said this trend is not healthy for mid-level and small budget films. Event films are becoming bigger, smaller films are failing at the box office.
Every week between 13-16 movies are released. This scheme will work consumers back into the cinema.
The company had recently slashed prices of food and beverages by 40 percent. It has also launched reasonably priced food combos at ₹99 from Monday to Thursday between 9 am and 6 pm.
He also said, the company wants to target “students, housewives and senior citizens” with the special offer.
‘PVR INOX Passport’ could be bought with a minimum subscription period of three months. It can be bought via the app or the website.
“For redeeming, users will have to choose a Passport coupon as a payment option at the time of transaction check out. In case of a transaction for multiple tickets, one ticket can be redeemed using a Passport coupon and the rest can be paid for, through any other regular mode of payment.”
